On Wednesday, May 20, Ontario Racing (OR) announced a list of minimum standards that will apply to all individuals that require access to the backstretch and/or paddock of any Ontario racetrack in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
An excerpt from the OR release -- the contents of which appear below -- states that the Ontario Racing tracks are committed to keeping Ontario’s racing participants safe and healthy.
The release goes on to state that in order to conduct live racing in the province without spectators and minimize any potential concerns with respect to the health and welfare of participants in the sport, the list of minimum standards will apply to all persons who require access to the backstretch and/or paddock of any racetrack in the province.
Ontario Racing Releases COVID-19 Racetrack Protocol Minimum Standards
The Ontario Racing tracks are committed to keeping Ontario’s racing participants safe and healthy. In order to conduct live racing in the province without spectators and minimize any potential concerns with respect to the health and welfare of participants in the sport, the following minimum standards will apply to all persons who require access to the backstretch and/or paddock of any Ontario racetrack.
