Georgian Series Noms Coming Due

Officials with Georgian Downs have sent out a reminder to owners and trainers regarding the track's Labatt's Claiming Series and Masters Series, which have respective nomination closing dates of May 23 and June 1

.

The specific details for each stakes event appear below.

LABATT’S CLAIMING SERIES --- FOR TROTTERS

• Open to trotters that are non-winners of $60,000 lifetime as of May 15, 2012 (no allowances).
• The first leg is scheduled for June 9; the second leg is scheduled for June 16 --- $10,000 per division.
• All horses must have a claiming value of $12,500.
• The final will be contested Saturday June 23, 2012 for $30,000 (added).
• Nominations close May 23, 2012.
• Nomination fee = $200.
• All nomination fees will be added to the final.
• No starting fee.

MASTERS SERIES --- SEPARATE DIVISIONS FOR SEX & GAIT

• Open to Ontario-sired horses, four years old and older.
• Separate divisions for sex and gait.
• Eliminations will take place June 30, with a purse of $20,000 (guaranteed) per division.
• The finals are scheduled on the GOLD RUSH event July 7. The finals will be contested for $150,000 (added) per race.
• Nominations close June 1, 2012.
• Nomination fee = $1,000 CDN.
• Winning trainers of a previous Masters Series champion have received a 10-year exemption from Masters Series nomination fees. Limit of one nomination fee per year.
• All nomination fees will be added to the final.
• No starting fee.
• All horses must declare into the eliminations on the finals.
