The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has issued an update regarding the Ontario race dates for April to December 2026.
The AGCO stated in an information bulletin dated Feb. 26 that it has been advised that Ontario race date recommendations of Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) and Ontario Racing Management (OR) for the period from April to December 2026 will be submitted to the Registrar for approval in the coming weeks. The approved race date calendars will be released by the AGCO at the earliest opportunity following the Registrar’s decision.
The AGCO has issued a racetrack licence for Leamington Raceway in addition to the nine Standardbred racetrack licenses issued Dec. 23 to Clinton Raceway, Dresden Raceway, Flamboro Downs, Georgian Downs, Grand River Raceway, Hanover Raceway, Hiawatha Horse Park, The Raceway at Western Fair District and Woodbine Mohawk Park, as well as the two racetrack licenses issued Dec. 30 to Kawartha Downs and Rideau Carleton Raceway.
