Management at the Quebec Jockey Club has canceled the qualifying races at Hippodrome 3R scheduled for Saturday, April 13.
According to Murielle Thomassin, Director of Racing at the track, the reason for the cancellation this weekend is due to the inclement weather this past week at the track. It's the second straight week the track has been forced to cancel qualifiers.
Management is hopeful that the track surface will be ready for qualifying races next weekend.
Hippodrome 3R is scheduled to open for its 2019 live harness racing meet on Sunday, April 28.
