The Pick Six carryover tops $70,000 heading into Thursday night's card at Meadowlands Racetrack
.
A nine-day Pick Six carryover produced a $131,599 payout on Saturday, February 6, 2010. The Pick Six, which is a $1 wager, is available nightly on races four through nine.
Bob “Hollywood” Heyden has mapped out a $96 ticket for handicappers in need of some advice. Here’s how his ticket looks:
4th Race
#5 Lil Dudes Mach Up - Lou Pena kicked off last night's Pick Six with a $5.00 winner-but it still wasn't hit. Here's another public choice to get things going, who found the $30,000 claimers way too rich for his blood. Last time at any other level? A lifetime mark of 1:51.4 with Sears.
#6 Claires Flyboy - an interesting hike up in class despite being more than three lengths off the winner against $15,000 claimers. Casie Coleman has had a neutral kind of meet - by her standards anyway - and she simply doesn't want to lose this guy for the basement level price
5th Race
#2 Look Siera - lit up the board three starts back, got shuffled two starts ago and was solid last out. Remember Campbell had a $64.00 and $20.00 winner to bookend Sundays Pick-4. For former Ross Croghan second trainer Nancy Corley.
#4 Catawba - also paid telephone numbers a couple starts back - in by far a lifetime best. Yannick's been a little too quiet this past week for me.
#10 Bryans Ideal - has been favoured in five of her last seven and is winless on the year despite hitting the board in 4 out of 5. Very hard to dismiss her tonight.
6th Race
#2 Casimir Camotion - everyone's using him -everyone is also holding their breath. Veteran is prone to the misstep but has overpowering speed at a level like this. Ten-year-old is in the midst of yet another comeback and is an easy horse to root for.
#5 Get It Now was a much more confident winner last out than the line indicates. Hikes up to the next level. Remember he's from the extraordinary producer Grand Lady.
7th Race
#7 MMs A Player - comes off consecutive lifetime marks, what's not to like? Her sire, Malabar Millennium, had both parents win the Hambo (Malabar Man) and Hambo Oaks (Gleam). Tetrick had the hot hand last night and there's no reason to believe he won't have a couple tonight in the Pick-6.
#8 Ladanian – ‘waived’ goodbye to the field last week, and he did so by posting a lifetime best. Super Bowl participant is getting much better from three to four. Did someone say 'Poor Man’s Lucky Jim'?
8th Race
#1 Johnny Absolut - qualified back in good order after a snowout. He's not familiar with these parts, but has landed in a field that can make his stay a good one.
#7 All Star Dragon drops out of claimers and has a fancy career winning mark (12-for-32). Yonkers shipper beat better than this 4 starts ago, and will now try it on two less turns.
9th Race
#1 Income De Vie - wired a suspect field as the public choice last out. One of three mares in here has already shown no mercy with the boys before.
#5 Samacamawackybrown - just missed his second straight upset last out. Billy Dobson has won a ton at Monticello recently. The young man is showing some coolness under fire here, too.
Heyden’s Ticket
5+6 with 2+4+10 with 2+5 with 7+8 with 1+7 with 1+5 = $96
