The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario has issued a reminder of the revised rules of Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing in the province, which will go into effect Tuesday (April 6).

Reminder: Winter 2021 Revisions to Thoroughbred & Standardbred Rules of Racing go into effect April 6
As previously announced, effective April 6, 2021, the AGCO will implement a number of rule changes to the Thoroughbred and Standardbred Rules of Racing, following consultation with horseperson representatives and racetrack management staff from across Ontario.
The rule changes are to both the Standardbred and Thoroughbred Rules of Racing (Thoroughbred Rule changes apply to Quarter Horse racing except where noted).

Rappel : Les révisions de l’hiver 2021 aux Règles sur les courses de chevaux thoroughbred et standardbred entrent en vigueur le 6 avril
Comme annoncé précédemment, à compter du 6 avril 2021, l’AGCO mettra en œuvre un certain nombre de modifications aux Règles sur les courses de chevaux thoroughbred et standardbred, à la suite de consultations avec les représentants des professionnels du cheval et le personnel de gestion des hippodromes de tout l’Ontario.
Les changements apportés aux Règles concernent à la fois les Règles sur les courses standardbred et thoroughbred (les changements de Règles sur les courses thoroughbred s’appliquent aussi aux courses de quarterhorse, sauf indication contraire).
