Trotters will take centre stage this Friday night (February 3) at the Meadowlands Racetrack and the talented B Yoyo will head up the featured sixth race, a conditioned trot for a purse of $18,000.
B Yoyo is maturing into a top-class trotter for trainer Richie Johnson, and since the calendar turned to 2017 he has recorded three on-the-board finishes from four starts. At his best, B Yoyo packs a powerful closing kick when raced off cover, as evidenced in last week's winning effort. Driver Joe Bongiorno afforded the gelded son of Striking Sahbra a perfectly patient steer and B Yoyo responded, as he stormed by rivals with a :28.1 end to his 1:53.3 mile.
B Yoyo will be making a slight move up in class this week, and he must deal with the always-dangerous duo of Muscle Diamond and Crosbys Clam Bake to bring the top prize home to owners Bill Lambos and Dionisios Liberatos.
