The Quebec Jockey Club’s 2013 season at Hippodrome 3R will run from May through October, with two cards most weeks, Sundays at 1 p.m. and Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
The kickoff program is May 12 and the finale Oct. 6, the QJC announced this week.
The marquee card will be Sept. 8, when the $50,000 finals of summer series for two-year-olds and three-year-olds will be presented.
There will also be $25,000 finals earlier in the year for Quebec-bred horses four and five.
The Lucien Bombardier pace for two-year-old fillies will be featured Sept. 1, with the purse $15,000 added.
In all, 40 live cards will be presented in Trois-Rivieres for an estimated $2 million in purses.
