WOW, This one really hit me and it hurts. He was really special. You can tell that by the list of people that just had to say something here. I worked with Lou for 3 years in Bill Hicks barn. What a joy he was. I don't know you Shirley, but you must be a very special lady to have landed Lou. Please accept my condolences.

Lost track of Clark over the past few years. Very sad to hear of his passing. Back in the seventies Clark and I were buddies, we hung out together played defence together on the O.J.C. hockey team. We used call him Guy Lapotine after the all star defenceman that played for the Montreal Canadians. I bought a yearling in 1976 I was stabled at Garden City Raceway. The yearling was Banker Fretz. He turned out to be a real good horse. Clark was working for Bill Hicks at the time. Every afternoon for a month when Clark had his work done he would come over to my barn and help me break Banker. I am sure I gave him nothing more than a thank you. Great guy never had a bad word to say about anybody. My Condolences to the Grainger family.

To Lou's Family:
I worked with Lou a long time ago in the Bill Hicks Stable and there wasn't anyone as much fun or as kind as Lou. Please accept my sympathies. May all the good memories help you through this difficult time.

Condolences to Shirley and Family. Clarke was a dedicated employee as assistant trainer of mine for many years and you could always depend on him,. He had a good relationship with the grooms and owners. Fortunately I have kept in touch with him and Shirley occasionally and was aware of his sickness. He will be missed by all that knew him. R.I.P. til we meet again. Bill

So sad to hear of Lou's passing. Knew Lou when he trained for Bill Hicks, always a smile on his face. As Al Casselman said, lots of great memories from days gone by. RIP old friend. Condolences to the family at this difficult time.
