Weaver To Be Profiled

Published: November 25, 2013 01:09 pm EST

Those immersed in the Canadian harness racing scene are well aware of Sydney Weaver, the 13-year-old racing enthusiast that jumped into the ownership ranks late last year. Now, those outside of the racing world will get the chance to learn about Weaver’s love of the sport.

Accessibility in Action (AIA) – an original program produced by Accessible Media Inc. that explores the lives of people living with disabilities – will be profiling Weaver during Episode 11 of its third season.

The episode will air on Tuesday, November 26 (at 7:00 p.m. and at midnight) before being rebroadcast on Wednesday, November 27 (at 8:00 a.m. and at noon) and Sunday, December 1 (4:00 p.m.). (A list of the channels that will be airing the episode appears at the bottom of this story)

A camera crew recently caught up with Weaver while jogging her racehorse at the First Line Training Centre. Weaver and her prowess for jogging horses was the subject of Liz Waples’ photograph that appears in the Heart of Harness Racing Calendar.
