Georgian To Offer Starter Bonus

The Ontario Racing Commission approved an application from Great Canadian Gaming Corporation on October 28 to continue the Guaranteed Starter Bonus Program at Georgian Downs

.

The program will start November 1 and run to the end of the racing season in January 2012. A starter bonus in the amount of $200.00 will be paid to the owner of every horse that officially starts a race at Georgian Downs, starting November 1 and ending January 31, 2012.

Well, a starter bonus is a good way to use a little bit of the 5.1 million purse account at Georgian Downs.
At the start of 2011, there was about 1.4 million in the purse account at Georgian... Wow, the lower purses given to Signature tracks like Flamboro and Georgian are sure accumulating a lot of money! When will the horsepeople actually get the money used as it should be: Let's see an increase of purses. After all, the Premier tracks have seen an increase, so why not the little tracks?
