Officials with Dover Downs have provided some details in regard to the track's upcoming 51st season of live harness racing, which is set to kick off on Monday, November 2.
The 83-date is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, April 1.
Live racing will be conducted Monday through Thursday and post time will be at 4:30 p.m.
The track will be dark on Thursday, November 26 (in observance of U.S. Thanksgiving) and there will be no live racing from December 18 through December 27 (Christmas break).
The Delaware Standard Breeders Fund (DSBF) two-year-old stakes eliminations will be taking place from November 9 through November 18. The two-year-old finals will be contested on November 24 and November 25.
DSBF three-year-old eliminations will take place from November 30 through December 10. The three-year-old final will be contested on December 17.
The Matron for two-year-olds will take place on Thursday, November 5, while the Matron for three-year-olds will take place on Thursday, November 12.
The track's signature race of the season, the Progress Pace final, will be raced on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Elimination races will take place on Wednesday, November 18, if necessary.
The opening draw schedule for the first week’s racing appears below. Please note that the entry box will close at noon.
• Tuesday, Oct. 27 for Monday, Nov. 2 (opening night)
• Wednesday, Oct. 28 for Tuesday, Nov. 3
• Thursday, Oct. 29 for Wednesday, Nov. 4
• Monday, Nov. 2 for Thursday, Nov. 5
