Flamboro Abandons Thursday Races

Due to a failure in the track's lighting system, Flamboro Downs has abandoned Thursday evening's (Jan. 18) races.

Racing is scheduled to return to the Dundas, Ont. half-mile racetrack on Saturday (Jan. 20); post time is 6:00 p.m. Eastern.

The card should have been rescheduled to race on Saturday January 20 at 1pm.
This would have been a good solution. Many horses have been cancelled three Thursday nights in a row. A 1 o'clock post wouldn't interfere with the Saturday 6pm card.
Did anyone involved with the decision to cancel even consider this? Why not?
