Brittany Robertson made a move up the Sudbury Downs leaderboard with a training triple during Wednesday's nine-race card at the Chelmsford, Ont. half-mile oval.

Robertson earned her first win in the opener with veteran trotter Shipp To Morgan ($3.10) with Paul MacLean handling the driving assignment. Apache White Foot ($4.70) and driver Gerry Belanger provided the local conditioner with her second win of the night in the third race. Amazing Quest ($14.90) later completed the Robertson triple in the eighth race with Jason Ryan sitting in the sulky.

Robertson, who went three-for-four on the night, moved into second place in the track's trainer standings for wins. She now trails leader France MacLean by nine victories and holds a one-win edge over Philippe Belanger.

The 21-year-old has sent out 37 winners while banking $174,911 in purses in her breakout year.
