Leading driver Trace Tetrick stayed hot on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, sweeping both divisions of the penultimate leg of the Indiana Sire Stakes for two-year-old trotting fillies. Tetrick teamed up with Double A Dream to pull a 20-1 shocker in the first split, before getting Omg Am I Ok home as the 7-5 second choice in the second group.

The Luis Quevedo-trained Double A Dream was tasked with post three in the $91,781 first split which, had eight fillies with their noses on the gate. Tetrick paid no mind to the odds board, hustling Double A Dream to a 2-1/4-length lead through an opening quarter of :29.1. The lead was three lengths as Double A Dream trotted to the half a loose leader in :58.2 while Help Cum Laude (Aaron Stutzman), who was unable to find a seat on the first turn, was parked and pressing first-over outside of pocket-sitter Dangoodfeelin (Kevin Lambright). The 1-9 favourite, For Dayze (John De Long), attempted to follow the cover of Help Cum Laude, but she jumped it off on the final turn while Double A Dream moved to three-quarters in 1:27.2.

Tetrick began to ask Double A Dream for more turning for home, and she responded by trotting home in :29, good for a one-length victory in a career-best 1:56.2. Who Goes There (Jared Finn) rallied up the cones to be second, with Swan Gracelyn (LeWayne Miller) rounding out a hefty triactor at 50-1.

Double A Dream has now won three of her last four starts and four of seven overall in her two-year-old campaign for owners John Barnard and Alagna Racing LLC. The daughter of Fiftydallarbill-Warrawee Vicky was bred by Double A Acres. She has banked $82,034 after being a $6,944 bargain buy at last fall’s Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale.

In the $92,466 second division, Omg Am I Ok won her second straight outing since moving to the barn of Ron Burke, delivering a crushing performance. Leaving from post five in the field of nine, Omg Am I Ok got away in second behind Make It Spicy (Kyle Husted), who cut the opening quarter in :28. The tempo slowed to the half in :59 before Tetrick wound Omg Am I Ok up from the pocket, tipping out from behind the leader past three-quarters in 1:28.4.

Omg Am I Ok made quick work of the pacesetter turning for home, rocketing by her before trotting away in a :28.1 last quarter to stop the clock in 1:57.1. Dancinator (Mike Peterson) rallied for second at 23-1, with Pastors Delicacy (Kyle Wilfong) scampering up the cones at 48-1 to be third.

Owned by FAC Racing LLC, Michael Dolan, and Yannick Gingras, Omg Am I Ok is now two-for-two from the Burke barn after going winless through the first six starts of her career. Bred by Freeman Bontrager, the daughter of You Know You Do-J As Ayd went for $24,658 at the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale. She pushed her career earnings to $124,879 with the win.

In all, Tetrick racked up three wins on the evening, joined by driver Jordan Ross with three winners, while Mike Oosting led the way with a grand slam.
