
A five-pack of Prospect Series divisions went postward on Sunday, Sept. 28 at Flamboro Downs with a pair for pacing colts and a trio for pacing fillies. Trainer Jack Darling nabbed a double in the Ontario-sired stakes series for the evening.
In one split of two-year-old colt pacers, Darling's Ticket Station ($2.30) won every pole through panels in :28.2, :58.2 and 1:28.3 before winning by 2-1/2 lengths at the end in 1:58. The freshman Bulldog Hanover-Temagami Seelster colt, owned by Jack Darling Stables Ltd., was piloted to victory by Samuel Fillion.
In one split of the two-year-old filly pacers, Darling's Saratoga ($3.90) won gate-to-wire, leading through fractions in :29.3, 1:00.2 and 1:29.2 before winning by three-quarters of a length in 1:58.3. The freshman Bulldog Hanover-Artilla Hanover filly, also owned by Jack Darling Stables Ltd., was piloted to victory by Jason Ryan.
The second split for pacing colts was won by Allstar Cords ($2.70), driven to a 2-1/2-length score in 1:56 for trainer Dale Heard by Stephen Byron.
The other two splits for pacing fillies was won by Amazing Addy ($11), driven to a two-length score in 1:56.4 by Jason Ryan for trainer John Pentland, and by Mc Princess ($3.90), driven to a length score in 1:56.1 by Ryan for trainer Gregg McNair.
