Define The World took on six foes in Tuesday’s $38,000 Preferred Trot at Mohawk Racetrack, and the gritty gelding used front-end tactics to triumph for the 32nd time in his career

.

Paul MacDonell gave Define The World his marching orders when the starting gate sped away, and the six-year-old son of Duke Of York-Venice Holiday had no problem setting up shop on the lead when asked to do so. He successfully sliced out splits of :27, :55.1 and 1:23.2 before using a :28.3 closing panel to seal the deal in 1:52. Kashs Caviar came on strong to a lapped-on runner-up, while the pocket-sitting Frenchfrysnvinegar settled for the show dough.

John Bax trains the OSS graduate for owner/breeder Al Libfeld of Pickering, ON, and together they’ve watched the veteran construct an impressive record of 8-3-2 in 22 starts this season. The $19,000 payday bumped this year’s earnings to $309,969 while his lifetime total climbed to $1,641,989.
