The 2010 NJSS Premier Division season, which began in May at The Meadowlands, concluded four races later on the Freehold program with a 1:54.3 victory by Foreclosure N in the $100,000 Championship for two-year-old pacing colts and geldings. The NJSS Green Acres Division continues at Freehold through October 16.

I Kill Time (Western Ideal-Her Mattjesty), with Yannick Gingras driving, got by the pace-setting Myluvmylife (Rocknroll Hanover-Dreamlands Hardie) at the three-quarter mile marker, but had to hold off a late charge to win her fifth race in eight career starts.

The Paul Reid-trainee more than doubled her earnings to $94,525 with the $50,000 winner’s share of the purse for owner Seize The Day Industries of Boca Raton, Florida. Her 1:54.3 clocking erased the previous mark of 1:54.4 by Coochie Mama in 2002. It also equaled the track record, set by Darlins Delight in 2005.

Gingras also piloted two winners of $10,000 NJSS Green Acres contests for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings on the racing card, Rockin The House (Rocknroll Hanover-Donkeys Can Talk) in 1:53.2 and Terlingua (Artsplace-Western City) in 1:54.

Foreclosure N, driven by Tim Tetrick, was first over at the half and dueled nose-to-nose with Rock To Glory (Rocknroll Hanover-Faded Glory) into the deep stretch before getting in front just before the wire.

For the Mark Steacy-trained colt, it was his fourth victory in seven starts and second in a row. The $50,000 winner’s share of the purse boosted the colt’s earnings to $114,430 for owner R. Peter Heffering of Port Perry, Ont.
