The two-day Ohio Selected Jug Sale concluded Tuesday night, at the Eden Park Equestrian Complex near Delaware, with the sale producing an average price of $9,100 for the 150 yearlings sold

. That represented a hefty increase from 2008, when approximately 225 yearlings sold for an average of $5,900.

"It was a huge sale, just a great, great sale," said sale manager Randy Manges, who earlier noted that the crowd was standing-room only.

The sale topper was CC Sammy Go, a Nobleland Sam colt that sold for $34,000 on opening night to trainer Eric Hamlet on behalf of owner Jerome Osborne. The colt is a sibling to $1 million winner Psilvuheartbreaker

Overall, Manges said the sold showed an increase of approximately 50 percent from 2008. For full sale results, click here.
