Summerside Feature To Rash B Havior

Rash B Havior tracked down pacesetter Doing Some Damage to take home bragging rights in the Tuesday night feature at Red Shores Summerside.

Marc Campbell got away third with Rash B Havior, while Doing Some Damage rolled the field through fractions of :28, :57.2 and 1:27.1. Rash B Havior went on the attack late and used a :28.3 closing panel to prevail by 1-1/4 lengths over Doing Some Damage in 1:56.3. Third prize went to Motorino.

Michael Peters of Emyvale, PE owns and trains the six-year-old son of Lis Mara-San Tropez who won for the sixth time this season and for the 21st time in his career.

Bowyer Hanover captured the Garth Schurman memorial in 1:58. Gary Chappell was in the bike for trainer Walter Cheverie and owner Ivan MacMillan of O’Leary, PE.

Chappell, Dale Spence, Kenny Arsenault and Jason Hughes had driving doubles on the program.

The historic Prince County oval played host the Prince Edward Island Matinee finals with matinee track announcer Chris MacRae of Pinette calling the action. The young announcer was even given a chance to call Race 5 on the official program by Vance Cameron.

Fast Flyer, in line to Zac Conway, won the C Class for owner-trainer Paul Conway of Bonshaw, PE while Freddy My Boy won the B Class for driver Austin Sorrie for owner Tammy Collings. The final heat, Class A, went to Badlands Giovanna driven by Brady Sweet for owner Steven Sweet. The time of the mile was an impressive 2:00.1.

The PEI Matinee Finals Championship was sponsored by the Province of PEI with Kent Oakes making the trophy presentation.
