Driver Mark MacDonald made five trips to the winner’s circle on Thursday afternoon program at Flamboro Downs, and in doing so he pushed his 2010 win total to 328
.
MacDonald, who recently surpassed $60 million in earnings, took the opener with the Reinhold Duld-trained After The Fame (2:00) before returning to victory lane in the fifth race with Blake and Stuart MacIntosh’s Schooner (1:57.4).
A win with Tenerife (1:58) in the sixth race followed by a score with Lollipop Gal (2:03) in the seventh race gave him the natural hat trick and a Grand Slam on the card. He tacked on more victory with Joeys Girl (1:53) in the ninth race to complete his five-win day at the office.
