Scioto Downs recently closed its 2012 meet with a 50 per cent increase in overall handle and a 45 per cent increase in live handle.
The increases were due to improvements in track facilities, large fields in many races, and the racino which opened in early June.
Once again this year, Scioto Downs hosted Ohio Super Night with eight $100,000 championship finals. A large crowd turned out to watch a program of 16 races that included upsets, a new track record, and many exciting finishes.
The track remains open for simulcasting, both day and night, for the remainder of the year. Live racing will resume in the spring of 2013.
