Hambo Experience A "Dream Come True"

George Ducharme, trainer of Hambletonian winner Royalty For Life, has finally had the chance to look back on what was his greatest day in the horse racing business.

Royalty For Life, the RC Royalty colt that won the Hambletonian last weekend in 1:52.1, has brought Ducharme, a resident of Norfolk, Massachusetts, right into the spotlight.

In the post-race interview after his Hambo win, Ducharme admitted that he felt the pressure. Now days removed from Royalty For Life's crowning achievement, the trainer has said that the moment played out like a "dream come true."

"There were some nerves and a little anticipation," Ducharme has been quoted as saying in an article by The Sun Chronicle. "It was a pretty hectic day, between people asking questions and getting the horse ready."

Ducharme went on to say, "To compete at that level is just an enormous feat by itself," later adding, "We'll just hope the business continues to grow so we can have another shot at a race at the Hambletonian again."
