Trainer Donald Beaton had a big day at Inverness Raceway during Sunday’s matinee thanks to a three-win

performance.

Beaton, who hails from Port Hood, NS, started the card with back-to-back wins. Nellies Paradise (2:04.4) took the opener for driver Lewis MacDonell and the Beaton-trained Matts Legend (2:01.1) took the other end of the Daily Double for driver Redmond Doucet.

Beaton completed the training hat trick with Nellies Money (2:01.3) in the sixth race. The six-year-old gelding is the older half-brother to Beaton’s first race winner, Nellies Paradise.

The productive day at the office bumped Beaton’s 2009 UTR to .276, while his lifetime total climbed to .294.
