The Juggernaut Series kicked off on Saturday night at Sudbury Downs with trainer-driver Allan Hohner capturing two of the three $7,500 divisions with Enigma Hanover and Dan The Dragon

Enigma Hanover pulled the pocket after the opening quarter and front-stepped his way to a three length score in a career-best 1:57.1 for Hohner. Saratov (Stephane Bardier) was second and Cinema Classic (Mario Rivest) was third.
The three-year-old son of Panderosa-Eicarls Olvidar, who was sent postward as the 5-2 second choice in the field, notched his second straight win and fifth of the season in 21 starts and pushed his earnings to $23,498 for owner R. K. Joe Miskokomon of Muncey, ON.
Dan The Dragon, the 7-1 fourth choice in his division, tucked into the two-hole after leaving from Post 9 and waited until the three-quarters mark to make the winning move. The three-year-old gelded son of Dragon Again-Dans Misty took control in the stretch and held off Campco Keyed (Mike MacNeill) by a quarter-length for the career-best 1:59.2 victory. Pacesetter and odds-on favourite Rexasauris (Rick Lake) was third.
The win was Dan The Dragon’s third in 20 starts this year and bumped his earnings to $18,184 for owners David Byron, James Cantelon of Thornton, William Byron of Cookstown and the Sit N Go Stables of Barrie, ON.
Chapter delivered on his pari-mutuel promise in the other division with a wire-to-wire victory in a life’s-best 1:57.4 by over seven lengths. Wallydontplaygames (Jay Polifroni) and Daddy Warbucks (Gerry Belanger) finished second and third.
Chapter picked up his fifth win of the season in 11 starts increasing his earnings to $22,346. The three-year-old son of Astreos-Hollyhock was claimed for $11,250 on July 31 by local trainer-driver Jeffery Nowoselsky.
The Juggernaut Series is for non-winners of two races or $20,000 lifetime (F/M 3R or $30,000) as of July 28, 2010 that are five years old or younger.
