.

The incident occurred at the Pride Stables in Kitchener, which offers therapeutic horseback riding lessons to people with disabilities.

The report states that the dead horses are Lilly, a 16-year-old dartmoor pony; 'London,' a retired standardbred racehorse of unknown age; and Knickers, a haflinger of unknown age. The article also says that two other horses were injured, but are expected to recover, and that a third horse received a slight jolt.

I was heartbroken when I read this story as I used to be a co-op student at Pride Stables and was very familiar with Knickers and London. They were both sweet, kind horses who got along great with the kids. I remember London's win photo posted outside his stall, and how the kids used to be fascinated with the ex-racehorse. His full racing name was Our London Pride N. Im sure both horses will be missed dearly and my condolences go out to the staff, volunteers, and children at Pride Stables.

Such a sad story to read.
Hopefully they are able to remember the horses with fond memories.
