Fifty Is Nifty For Delivered Rules

The hard-hitting veteran Delivered Rules paced home for his 50th career victory Tuesday evening at Northfield Park.

The nine-year old has faced the gate in 284 pari-mutuel races, and during that time he’s managed to assemble a 50-34-45 record. The son of Sealed N Delivered-Catie Rules also boasts career earnings of $151,923 and a lifetime mark of 1:51.4 taken at Colonial Downs at age eight.

Delivered Rules started from the rail and led at every call. He bested his closest competitor, Bring in The Noise (Kurt Sugg), by a length after posting fractions of :28.1, :58, 1:26.4 and 1:56.3 over a sloppy surface. Delivered Rules returned $6.40 to win.

Charles O’Neal of Oakwood Village, Ohio owns and trains the pacer. Aaron Merriman drove him to this milestone triumph.
