WEG regular Roger Mayotte reached a special career milestone on Monday night at Mohawk as the veteran driver surpassed $50 million in career earnings.
The classy horseman guided one of his trainees, Sky Mcfly, to victory in a $19,000 conditioned pace. The three-year-old son of Jeremes Jet-Nvincible rallied home off a second-over trip to stop the teletimer in a new mark of 1:52.3.
Mayotte shares ownership of the gelding with longtime partners Ross Warriner and Louis Liebenau.
The reinsman scored his first driving victory in 1977 with In The Groove at Greenwood Raceway.

Congratulations Roger! One of the great all round horsemen in the sport. A quiet guy with a ton of class thrown in and it's men like him that are a credit to this sport.
