Czar Seelster journeyed first over and held off the late-closers when swarmed from both sides in the stretch to win the $11,000 Preferred 2 Pace featured on Sunday night's harness racing card at Georgian Downs.
Away third early on, Czar Seelster challenged inside starter Calgary Seelster (Phil Hudon) through the middle-half and eventually wore down that foe into the stretch before holding off the favoured Brocks Fortune (James MacDonald), who ducked inside, and Lennon Blue Chip (Anthony MacDonald), who rallied wide. Czar Seelster prevailed by a quarter-length in 1:52 flat.
David Brigham owns the five-year-old son of Stonebridge Regal, who has won his last three races with Tyler Moore driving. The Greg Weatherbee trainee is now five-for-16 with over $31,000 banked in purses this year.
In other streaking news, Tendtowin went from last to first in a $9,000 conditioned race to record his fifth straight victory at Georgian in 1:55 with Phil Hudon aboard. The four-year-old No Pan Intended gelding prevailed by half a length over Not So Forgiving (Scott Coulter) for trainer Joanne Pond and the Seaspray Stables.
Debuting from the Richard Moreau barn, Adkins Hanover was a runaway winner in the $7,000 Preferred 3 for driver Jonathan Drury. The five-year-old Western Ideal gelding made a bobble down the backstretch, but had built up an eight-length lead on his foes and was able to quickly reset and cruise home for the 1:52.1 triumph with his closest rival still four and three-quarter lengths away. He has now won half of his eight starts this year and has earned $12,640 in purses.
