Liberty Style smoked the field in the second of two New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies on Sunday, July 20 at Tioga Downs for her second victory in the series.

Liberty Style ($11.60) went all the way in her $76,027 contest, taking the front early and meting out :27.2, :56.4, and 1:24.3 panels under the guidance of Jason Bartlett. Favourite Miss Genie Mae (Tyler Buter) came first-up going down the backside but made no impact as Liberty Style took flight on the final turn and soared clear to win by 6-1/4 lengths in 1:52.1. Odds On Monetary (Matt Kakaley) was a clear second-best, nine lengths clear of show finisher Brooklyn Bombshell (Jordan Stratton).

Andrew Stafford trains Liberty Style, an American Ideal-Fly In Style filly, and co-owns her with Bonnie Benson. The filly is now two-for-four with $117,627 in earnings.

Savage Cindy (Tyler Buter) fired late to win the $74,658 first division. She sat the pocket behind Odds On Enigma (Kakaley) through :26.3 and :56.3 first-half fractions before Surreal Spirit (Leon Bailey) went to the front approaching three-quarters in 1:25. Surreal Spirit extended her advantage on the final turn, but Savage Cindy ($9.40), after escaping the cones on the bend, unleashed a strong stretch surge to catch the leader and drew clear to a 1-1/4-length win in 1:54. Surreal Spirit finished second, followed by Party Pumps (Boyd).

Savage Cindy, a daughter of Huntsville-Naughty Cindy, broke her maiden in her third start for trainer Ed Hart. She finished third in two prior NYSS engagements and has now earned $58,670 for owner/breeder Scarlett Stables.

Long Shore ($3.10), in line to Kakaley, remained undefeated in the first of three $27,397 Excelsior Series events for rookie filly pacers. The Joseph Pavia Jr.-conditioned daughter of American Ideal-Butchie Beach was 3-3/4 lengths the best in 1:53.3, a new career mark. She is perfect through three starts for owners Vincent Ferriero Jr., Dominic Pavia, Eric Prevost, and Lon Frocione.

Patriot Miss ($2.60) also maintained perfection as she showed off late pace to capture the second split by a length in 1:55.3 with Buter at the lines. The American Ideal-Big City Betty filly has won all three starts in the Excelsior Series for owner Jeffrey Nanna and trainer Roland Mallar.

Lady Oakley ($9.70) broke her maiden in the third division, pocket-tripping to a 1-1/4-length score in 1:53.4 for driver Miller and trainer Bruce Saunders. The filly, a daughter of Huntsville-Lady Dudette, is one-for-two for M and L of Delaware.

Live racing returns to Tioga Downs on Friday with a post time of 6:15 p.m.
