Ramblinglily and Whistys Paradise both equalled the track record for three-year-old pacing fillies at Northside Downs on Saturday afternoon with their repeat wins in Atlantic Sires Stakes action.

Both fillies won their respective $9,620 "A" divisions in 1:57 flat, equalling the divisional track record set by Honey Do Jigtime in a 2011 ATSS event.

Ramblinglily was the first to match the mark with Brodie MacPhee driving for trainer Allan Jones and partner Normand Leger of Shediac, N.B. The heavy favourite established the lead over Skip The Exam through a :28.3 opening panel and cruised through middle splits of :58.3 and 1:28 en route to the two and a half length victory. Skip The Exam stayed for second while Top Brand finished third.

The Articulator-Crafty Jewel filly, who has won four consecutive stakes races including the Maritime Breeders and an ATSS event on July 12 at Summerside Raceway, has yet to miss the board in six starts this year.

Also fresh off a victory in the last ATSS round, Whistys Paradise rallied home from the backfield to win by seven lengths for Team Laffin. With Ernest Laffin in the bike for trainer Blair Laffin and owner Christopher Laffin, she sat off the pace through fractions of :27.1, :57.4 and 1:27.3 before unleashing a :28.2 final kicker to pull off a 9-1 upset. Putnams Kream and Western Judy came on for second and third.

The Western Paradise-Whist Hanover earned her fifth win of the season in eight starts and a new speed badge.

Putnams Snap (Cookie Dough Boy-Merchantile Hanover) romped to a 12 length victory in her $2,500 "B" division, stopping the clock in the a new lifetime mark of 1:58.2 for driver Mike Stevenson, trainer Wade Sorrie and owner Emily Perry. The other "B" division was won by the maiden-breaking Nannygrace (Brandons Cowboy-Laundromatt) and Marc Campbell in 2:01.2 for trainer/owner Jeff Lilley.

The sophomore pacing fillies will face off again in their next ATSS event on August 4 at Inverness Raceway.

In regular racing action, track record holder Major Dundee won the top pacing class in 1:55 by over five lengths for the driver/trainer team of Randy and Dana Getto and partner Wayne Hardy.

Mach Raiser set a new track record for aged pacing mares with her 1:55.4 victory for Adam and Wayne Merner. The five-year-old Mach Three-Raise Your Spirits mare shaved one full second off P L Betterway's former mark.
