In a story which draws parallels to boxers Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield no matter which way one chooses to slice it, it has been reported that a harness driver has been banned for two years after having bitten off a piece of
someone's ear.
An article by the Herald-Sun explains that Down Under driver Gary Litzow has been suspended after he was involved in an altercation with Marburg Pacing Association Committee member Allan Price.
The report states that during the altercation on July 3, Price flung Litzow to the ground. At some point in the fracas, Litzow bit off a portion of Price's ear.
According to the report, Queensland racing stewards said they had never come across a similar incident.
