Trotting sire Holiday Road was well represented during Tuesday’s OSS presentation at Georgian Downs, and three of his daughters found their way to victory lane in their Grassroots assignments.

La Bella Rosa, a Holiday Road lass out of Bella Di Maggio, took the first division in 1:56.3 for driver Mario Baillargeon. The filly fired to the front and led the way through fractions of :27.3, :56.2 and 1:25.3 before using a :31-second closing panel to win by 9-1/2 lengths over Lady Caterina. Rounding out the top three finishers was Magic Dancing.

Reaume Bouvier trains the homebred for Bella Fortuna Stables of Laval, QC and Patricia McGuirl Bouvier of Guelph, ON. It was the fourth win of the season for the career winner of $49,420.

Meadow Seelster was the next to do her sire proud as she steamrolled over the competition by 7-1/2 lengths in her $18,000 division. Robert Shepherd had the filly parked out and following cover most of the way before charging to the lead around the final turn and cruising to the dominant score in 1:56.1 over Aunt Lottie and Sheguindah.

Bill Budd trains the youngster for owner Bill Dixon of Caledon, ON. Out of the mare Must Sold Dream, Meadow Seelster improved her 2015 record to 2-4-0 from nine tries. She’s stashed away more than $113,000 to date.

Allies Gift, out of the mare Minor Skirmish, was Holiday Road’s final winner on the evening. She powered to the top from Post 8 for trainer/driver Luc Ouellette and sailed through panels of :28.1, :57.2 and 1:27.4 before using a :29.2 closing quarter to win by a pair of lengths over race favourite Flexceptional in 1:57.1. Third money went to Pinky The Intern.

Sent off at odds of 5-1, Allies Gift notched her sixth win of the campaign for owner Ecurie Richelieu Inc of Quebec. The seven-time winner upped her overall cash stash to $55,776 with the win.

Hape also posted her first Grassroots win with a 1:58.2 clocking in the fifth division, besting favourite Summers Jewel and Tyrone Zoey. The come-from-behind victory included a three-wide sweep of the field, with Hape winning the race by four lengths at odds of 5-1.

Moffat, ON resident Jack Moiseyev trains and drives the Pilgrims Taj filly for Joanne Colville of Moffat and Nancy MacNevin of Essex, ON. With the win, Hape upped her career earnings to $58,740.

Renegade Magic made her sire Kadabra proud thanks to her 1:57 triumph for driver Mike Saftic. He came first-over with the Ted MacDonnell trainee and eventually drew clear to win by a pair of lengths over Cincinnati Miss. California Rachel tagged along to finish third.

The homebred filly, out of the mare Renegade Ruby, is owned by Jeff and Lori Thomson of Chesley, ON. Unraced as a rookie, the winner of $25,000 is now 3-for-6 in her career.

Sumthintotalkabout extended her OSS winning streak to two-in-a-row thanks to her gate-to-wire decision in 1:57. Trevor Henry put the filly on the lead from Post 9 and she sailed through fractions of :29, :58.3 and 1:28 before scooting home in a :29-second clip to win by a neck over Tymal Signature. Ladyone rounded out the top three finishers in the $18,000 affair.

Trainer Steve Bossence of London co-owns the daughter of Muscle Mass-Disco Inferno with Stephen Palermo of Brampton, ON. The three-time winner has stashed away close to $40,000 to date.

Judy The Beauty rallied to take the final division in 1:57.2 for driver Bob McClure and trainer Keith Jones. The daughter of Muscle Mass-Northern Goddess got away fifth before making a first-over bid against race leader Bistrobistro Taj. A :29.4 closing panel was enough for Judy The Beauty to win by half a length over race favourite Railee Priti. Ill Stay Here took home third prize.

Randy Zhok of Dover Centre, ON owns the filly, who broke through for her first win of the season. The three-time winner added another $9,000 to her bankroll which climbed to $56,920 with the win.
