According to Doug Harkness of the Atlantic Post Calls, a veteran New Brunswick horseman is recuperating in Moncton Hospital after undergoing surgery
.
The veteran driver-trainer in question is Paul Breau, 63.
According to the report, Breau had been training horses for the Hon. Mike Murphy in Moncton when he was "diagnosed with serious head injuries."
Rosaire Barrieau has taken over the training of Murphy’s horses at the Boucher Training Centre in Dieppe.
Breau is expected to be out of action until at least this fall.
