Gordon Wade Crozier, the former manager of finance at Harness Racing PEI, appeared before Chief provincial court Judge John Douglas on Wednesday to be
sentenced on charges of theft over $5,000 and uttering forged documents.
An previously agreed upon statement of facts indicated Crozier had stolen a total of $102,176.91 from Harness Racing PEI Inc.
According to an article in The Guardian, Crozier was sentenced to 12 months house arrest, followed by 12 months probation and ordered to perform 100 hours of community service and pay restitution of just over $100,000 to HRPEI.

The maritimes are full of horseman who work hard and do it for the love of the sport. This guy is stealing from them and he gets house arrest. If someone broke into the office and stole the cheque book and wrote the cheques they would have gotten at least time served. Oh wait I forgot he has to pay the money back! HAHAHAHA. (I hope they don't take a cheque) I don't know how Wade could look at Jeremy and Lee and everyone down east who works so hard to keep racing alive there.
