In this week's Rewind, Robert Smith has the ongoing monthly version of "Picture Parade." The routine is the same; you see if you know the pictured individuals and send in your answers if you wish.
Today's pictures were chosen to coincide with Father's Day. It just so happens that the special day is on Sunday, June 21. Hope you enjoy looking over the pictures. All of them involve someone pictured with either a son or a daughter, and usually both are or were at one time involved in the sport.
The number of horse people who followed in their father's footsteps into the business would make an endless list. In fact, the roll call for those who didn't would likely be much shorter. In keeping with that theme, I have chosen a few father-and-child photographs for today's photo quiz. Without going on a huge hunt, my resources are somewhat limited, but I hope the ones I do show will spark some interest.

4 - This real "oldie" is a three-generational gem. Grandfather was a legendary Canadian-born horseman who spent virtually all of his career in the U.S. He is pictured with one of his driving sons, and the little guy rounds out the trio. Don't know much about him. If you can come up with a last name, we are in business!
5 - Can you identify this pair? Just a great old picture, I would say.
6 - Here we have a father-son combo, but if you recognize the other individual, that's a bonus.
7 - Can you identify this pair? U.S. folks, I might add.
8 - Can you identify this pair? I doubt many people will have to call in a "lifeline" on this one.
9 - Can you identify this pair: father and daughter? A little twist to this one. The young lady pictured married a very well-known driver. If you can come up with his name, send it along.
10 - Can you identify this pair? U.S. folks might get this one a little quicker.

A Proud Papa
I would like to offer my best wishes to all fathers on this special day set aside for those of us who have been blessed to be a father or a grandfather (or even more). Along with being a husband and part of a loving family, it has indeed been my greatest lifetime joy. Thanks to my family for making it such an easy job.
As I wrote this piece, I realized once again just how quickly time passes us by; little wonder that time is our most precious commodity. As I did the math, I realized that I have been a father twice as long as I had a living father myself. The grandfather's job has been icing on the cake.
