Bitcoin King added a second Buckeye Stallion Series victory to his 2026 ledger on Monday, June 15 as Northfield Park hosted four $27,778 divisions of the third leg for sophomore colt trotters.
Driven by Dan Noble, Bitcoin King recorded the fastest mile of the four divisions, winning the second division in a lifetime mark of 1:54.4. A winner in the first leg of the Stallion Series at Eldorado Scioto Downs in 1:55.4 on May 9, the Uncle Peter-Massive Girl colt rebounded from a miscue in the June 6 second leg at Northfield in his return to the track on Monday and let gate to wire for the victory by three-quarters of a length. Out Of Range (Kurt Sugg) was second followed by Jackie Jann (Wilbur Yoder) in third. Bitcoin King now has three career wins and more than $130,000 in earnings. Trainer Chris Beaver owns the colt with the Michigan-based Part Time Stable.
In the first division, Ready For Pictures and driver Chris Lems came out on top by 1-1/2 lengths, leading gate to wire and finishing in 1:57. The Ready For Moni-No Pictures Please gelding has hit the board in all five seasonal starts with three wins and has eight victories in 16 lifetime starts. He is trained by Tabatha DeLong and owned by Wisconsin's Jesse DeLong. Okay One More (Dan Noble) and Siggie (Trevor Smith) rounded out the top three.
Jogging Diamond and driver Kurt Sugg won the third division off a pocket trip by half a length in a lifetime-best 1:56.4. Unraced as a two-year-old, the Full Count-Jogging Home gelding has hit the board in three of seven seasonal starts with two wins. He is trained by Miles Wollam, who also shares ownership with Ohio residents Julie Ann Sweet and Kara Bansberg. Max The Mighty (Chris Page) was second followed by Moon Time Moni (Chris Lems) in third.
Driven by owner and trainer Ronnie Gillespie, 61-1 longshot Peteza scored his second seasonal victory in four starts, taking the fourth division by 1-1/2 lengths in 1:56.4. He rallied from fifth place at the three-quarter pole and paid $125.20 for the upset win. The Uncle Peter-Ilazue gelding made just one start as a freshman. Mile Range (Kurt Sugg) and Lane Holding Court (Dan Noble) — two winners from the second leg at Northfield on June 6 — rounded out the top three.
The Buckeye Stallion Series resumes on Sunday, June 21, with the third leg for sophomore filly pacers at Northfield.
