A number of two-year-olds showed impressive speed during Friday's qualifiers at Mohawk Racetrack, but none were faster than Atthebeach Hanover.

Trainer Gino Toscani had the son of Somebeachsomewhere away early from Post 8 and he carved out all the fractions in his morning test. After panels of :29.1, :59 and 1:27.2, Atthebeach Hanover had more than enough left to finish the mile with a :29 final quarter and trip the timer in 1:56.2.

A $92,000 Harrisburg yearling sale purchase, the regally-bred Atthebeach Hanover (Somebeachsomewhere - A And Gs Confusion) has now qualified three times thus far and improved his speed in each outing.
