A sixth race victory Thursday evening at Flamboro Downs with Taurus Seelster will always be a special one for trainer Clint Guitard because it was his first one.
The son of veteran conditioner Mike Guitard watched Taurus Seelster romp to an easy victory in the $6,800 conditioned assignment after supplying the field with fractions of :30.3, 1:01.2 and 1:31.3. A :30.2 closing quarter was more than enough for the three-year-old son of Federal Flex-Tia Seelster to secure the win. The gelding stopped the teletimer in 2:02.
Guitard of Waterdown, Ontario co-owns the sophomore with Deanmar Sons Stable, Peter Miskolczi and Dalmet Farms Holdings Inc. Together, the partners have watched the lightly-race trotter bank in excess of $8,000 to date.
