Screen Test was second ahead of Moonwriter. It was career win No. 34 for the six-year-old son of A Rocknroll Dance who has been undefeated in two outings in 2022.

The late double would be completed by another son of A Rocknroll Dance as Legendary Ron commanded the lead in the $2,700 finale in Race 10 to win by two lengths at 9-1 odds for his second-straight trip to the winner’s circle in line to Dale Spence for owner Doug Matheson of Cornwall and trainer Nicholas Oakes. The victory was No. 25 of the seven-year-old gelding’s career as he defeated second place My Land with favourite Cowboy Logic completing the $170.00 triactor ticket.

Soccer Hanover won the second-highest class of the night with a 1:55.3 victory by 5-3/4 lengths in Race 3 for a $2,900 purse for driver MacPherson, co-owner and trainer Leith Waite and co-owners Leslie and Spence Waite of Charlottetown. The Dragon Again eight-year-old has been perfect in three starts on P.E.I. in 2022 after racing the winter meet at Pompano Park in Florida.

Live racing continues Sunday afternoon (May 29) at Red Shores Summerside with a 1 p.m. (ADT) opening post time featuring the P.E.I. Colt Stakes for three-year-old pacing colts and fillies.
