Foxy Lady stalked patiently from the pocket, then exploded in the Lightning Lane to capture Tuesday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.
Foxy Lady got away first for Dave Palone but yielded the lead to Certified Ideal, who was trying to overcome Post 8 and a sloppy surface. When Palone asked Foxy Lady for late pace, the six-year-old daughter of Real Desire-Judy Is A Fox responded with a :28.1 final quarter and a victory in 1:53.1. The first-over Do Me Honor was second, while Certified Ideal saved show.
Ron Burke trains Foxy Lady, who now boasts $731,372 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, JJK Stables and Phillip Collura.
