Trainers and drivers share the stories behind how they chose their racing colours in this week's Standardbred Canada video feature.
If you could design your own racing colours, what would they look like?
(Note: If you are having difficulty loading the SC Video Features in HD quality, you can adjust the settings to a lower quality and quicker web stream by clicking on the red 'HD' symbol near the right hand corner of the video.)

This was another interesting
This was another interesting feature on Canadian Harness racing ..and its people
Its would be nice if some of the newspapers in areas where our tracks are located , could see this..and perhaps turn it into a news story..which might help promote racing in those areas. It would serve to inform some of these writers about the history of our sport.
Here is one chain of racing colours you did not cover...and as you will see below
Keith Waples.............as we know.....had Gold/Yellow with blue
In the 70's...Keith had stables of horses which he located at other tracks
His trainers of these stables over the years were..........
Tom Strauss Ron Waples and Barry Drury
All 3 chose Blue and Gold/Yellow as "their" colours
Ron's boys Ron Jr and Randy followed "suit"..........
As did Barry's son Jonathan
