“I guess she does everything right,” said Hunterton Farm’s Steve Stewart regarding world champion Party Girl Hill’s seamless transition from superior racehorse to motherhood.
“She arrived from Chris Ryder on a Monday, we bred her on Saturday two weeks ago and she’s in foal,” he explained.
Last year’s Dan Patch winner as three-year-old filly pacer of the year, Party Girl Hill was truly remarkable during her sophomore campaign, winning 15 of 16 starts for $932,545 earned. Her wins included the Fan Hanover, Jugette, Matron, PaSS Championship, Bluegrass, Adioo Volo and a split of the Tattersalls where she defeated her male counterparts in 1:47.2, her life mark.
Owned by breeder Tom Hill and trained by Ryder, the daughter of Captaintreacherous was retired in late April. Her consort, Tall Dark Stranger, was also a Dan Patch winner last year as both three-year-old pacing colt of the year and Horse of the Year in Dan Patch Award voting.
