Over a racing surface rated 'good' and two seconds slow, Mohawk Racetrack went forward with its weekly qualifying session this morning, as seven dashes comprised

the docket.

After making a first-over move in the second panel, three-year-old Western Hero colt Suprizemeagain motored home in the final quarter, posting a nine and half-length margin of victory in 1:57.1 for driver Paul MacDonell and trainer Ben Wallace. The black colt raced in Indiana at two and found much success, winning 10 of 12 starts, taking a mark of 1:51 over DuQuoin and banking $159,300. Suprizemeagain has been assessed at odds of 30-1 in Trot Magazine's 2009 Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book.

Best Dream Seeker, a Cup-eligible Cambest gelding trained by Duane Marfisi, qualified in Race 3. With Jean Rene Plante in the bike, the gelding took a pocket trip and finished second, finishing a neck behind Surrealist (driven by Paul MacDonell). The mile was clocked in 1:58.2. Best Dream Seeker is listed at odds of 48-1 in Trot's spring book.

Cumin First, the three-year-old Striking Sahbra filly trained by Frank O'Reilly, put in her first charted line in Race 6 since finishing third in the Ontario Sires Stakes Super Finals last fall at Woodbine Racetrack. After sitting a pocket trip, the filly trotted off to a three-length victory in 2:02.4 for driver Rick Zeron.
