Four-year-old trotting mare Quiet Snow has taken a liking to Western Fair Raceway winning her first two London, Ont. starts -- her latest the $7,350 Preferred 3 Trot co-featured on Wednesday night's harness racing card.
Bob Key's homebred Angus Hall mare had the second trailing tier starting spot and swept up three-wide down the backstretch under the guidance of reinsman Trevor Henry. She then out-sprinted her male counterparts in a four-across finish for the 1:59 victory over the 'good' surface. Triple B Herbie finished a neck back in second while pocket-sitter Sonny Vale split horses to edge out pacesetter Winzel for the third-place honours.
Trained by Ron Parsons, Quiet Snow ($9.60) has earned back-to-back victories at Western Fair, giving her three wins on the year in 13 starts.
Creighton Hanover ($23.30) was also a repeat winner at the London half-miler with a 1:56.1 front-stepping score in the $7,000 Preferred 3 Pace for the track's leading driver and trainer.
Alfie Carroll was aboard the five-year-old Camluck gelding for trainer Victor Puddy and owners Jerome Voldock and Limco Inc. Creighton Hanover is also three-for-13 on the year. A persistent Lawmen Reign finished one length behind in second while Rays San was third.
