It has been reported that a proposal in Minnesota to get slot machines approved for Canterbury Park in order to fund a new stadium for the National Football league's Minnesota Vikings has been rejected
.
The proposal was shot down by members of the State House by a vote of 99-31.
According to an article on startribune.com, Rep. Tom Hackbarth, sought to introduce the idea in debate on an agriculture and veterans bill.
“This issue is not going away,” Hackbarth was quoted as saying.
