The demolishing and rebuilding of barns at the Charlottetown Driving Park in PEI is the subject of a story published today (Friday, April 25).
The Daily Commercial News has run a piece profiling the undertaking at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
As the article explains, the demolition of the first two structures began before Christmas and was completed in January.
“The work is staged to initially provide space for the new barn, while maintaining enough barns to stable the horses,” Foster Millar, engineer with the P.E.I. Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, was quoted as saying. “Following construction and occupancy of the new barn the remaining six barns will be demolished.”
The report states that the barns are expected to be ready for horses by July 1.
