Standardbred Canada has launched a handicapping video series titled The Road to the Nationals.
The five-part series will give fans a general overview heading into each Regional Driving Championship (RDC) race card from a handicapping perspective, with the final installment highlighting the main event taking place in Trois-Rivieres, Que., at Hippodrome 3R, host of the 2024 National Driving Championship (NDC), which takes place on July 5.
Filmed out of the Standardbred Canada headquarters, and produced by Jeff Porchak, SC's Director of Digital Communications, Standardbred Canada's Road to the Nationals is co-hosted by Dan Fisher, Managing Director of TROT Magazine, and John Rallis, Associate Editor of TROT Magazine.
In the debut episode, Fisher and Rallis delve into handicapping the 2024 Ontario RDC to be contested at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Tuesday, April 23, with the help of a few special guest interviews, including one with defending ORDC champion Louis Philippe Roy

The first race post time for the ORDC card of harness racing is 5:50 p.m. (EST), with the first ORDC race taking place in Race 3. The ORDC races will take place in Races 3 through 11.

Here's the order in which the ORDC drivers selected their horses this past Friday.
Points for the ORDC will be awarded in each race according to the official order of finish: 15 points(1st), 10(2), 7(3), 5(4), 4(5), 3(6), 2(7), 1(8).
