Surgery Required For Wall

Published: April 10, 2011 05:24 pm EDT

Dave Wall, one of the most popular and respected horsemen in Ontario, is being operated on today at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, after fracturing an ankle in an accident at Western Fair Raceway

in Friday night’s first race.

Wall was the most severely injured of the four drivers involved in the spill which saw Wall’s charge, Strident Hanover, stumble on the last turn causing a chain reaction that collected My Buddy Gary (Robert Sparling, Jr.), Devilwithabackpack (Trevor Henry) and The Gormanizor (Greg Campbell).

Sparling suffered a severely sprained ankle as well as several nasty facial lacerations; Henry came away with a broken finger while Campbell has a broken bone in his foot.

Get well soon guys and you know that, with a speedy recovery, you will be able to pay the doctor's bills sooner! I am quite sure that the spouse doesn't want anything to do with those. All the best.

Just wanted to wish everyone a speedy recovery ...Keep your spirits up Dave , we will be praying for you ..
