Returning from a brief winter break, millionaire pacer Ramegade Bruiser was in a league of his own winning his Saturday afternoon qualifier at Kawartha Downs by nearly 30 lengths
.
The seven-year-old son of Rambaran-Love You Dear, who made his last start on January 16 at Woodbine Racetrack, left from Post 2 and carved out fractions of :27.3, :56, 1:24.3 and 1:53.4 over a track rated “good” with a two second variant. Brad Rae was in the bike for owner-trainer David Brown.
Last season, Ramegade Bruiser won 12 of 31 races, including the Spring Pacing Championship at Woodbine, and banked $394,400 sending him over the million dollar mark.

Many Rambaran offspring are doing quite well. This great racehorse a fan's favourite always gave it his best effort. Tony Kerwood treated him really well and never overused him while guiding him to most of his $1,163,139 in earnings, in an amazing 10 years of racing. The horse managed to get in the money in 83% of his lifetime starts.
Ramagade Bruiser is another example of why Rambaran is one of the best values as a sire. He is grossly underrated, and undervalued. Rambaran himself was a fan favourite, making much money without much fanfare.
Both Rambaran and Tony Kerwood were a winning combination then while both being overshadowed by the big names in the sport.
